” I’m an adventurer based in the top of the South Island, a one time sea kayak guide, boat skipper, ski patroller, canyon guide, paramedic, I’ve spent much of my life helping people navigate magical places, and sometimes tricky situations thoughout NZ. The Travel Well for me is an outlet to continue that spirit of guiding. “

” Yeah, I feel like a bit of an imposter labelling myself as a surfer if I'm honest. 

Maybe something to do with Nature as that's more my thing now. Finding space in Nature. Not sure what word is best there, but that sort of thing is more comfy for me.

Actually, maybe I'm an easy explorer. I love finding special places away from the masses. Be it a solo surf break, or quiet space in Nature.

In a previous life I used to run a kayak company along with my mate Nick up above in the Abel Tasman before we started up the Rankers.co.nz website and created the Camping NZ App. We’ve always been on a mission to create authentic and meaningful experiences for people. The Travel Well for me is an outlet for me to transfer a lifetimes accumulation of place information and help people have a good one around NZ. “

“ I'm a map-maker based in Northland and have been handcrafting maps and creating place-related artwork for the last 15 years. I love making stuff with my hands and am I'm really interested in sense of place and the connections people have with places, and I'm always creating new ways to help people deepen their understanding and connections to places.

Some people call me an artist, though I prefer explorer as well. For me the Travel Well is an outlet to share my passion for maps, art, sharing knowledge and just getting quality stuff out there into the world for people to use and enjoy… so we can make more cool, useful and interesting stuff. It’s a beautiful cycle. “
